WHITE HOUSE IN A BLUE FUNK

BushII doing his nuts for congress cop-outs!

Where all the fun is:
Kentucky (3rd). Look out for Jack Conway a Dem calling his oppo all talk and no substance!
Maryland(8th). Dem's Chris van Hollen is popular senator and big sweat if loses.
Michigan (9th). Dems to go 2-up.
Detroit's 9th District: - Fink 4! to make a score - and big on oppos!!
New Jersey (5th). Once-was-Republican highly likely here.
New Mexico (1st and 2nd). Two races to watch here - GOP turnout the prob.
New York (1st). Fireworks for oppo Grucci! Too close to lose!
Georgia (12th). 3 out of 4 and woe betide him if outs on to religious right
North Dakota: best sign of repub revival..
Pennsylvania (17th). Monumental upset to Dem Holden tipped.
South Dakota: 31 year old to take youngest (Dem) Congressman title.

Then there's Mondale in Minnesota.. and Jeb - likely 'blackout' in jebland
Enjoy, enjoy!
PS: Great Ali Cooke tonight, tks!
PPS: Naughty Wayne.. playing DaveB when I'm outta the office.Tellim off, better still give the guy a replay.. so we get to hear the spirit when it calls
Regards..Vi-One

The DEVIL and Mr. GEORGE

Sub: The Nine Paths to Sucker Supremo!

Sears Roebuck is leading retail stock - #4 in the US if you like facts.
Loss of Profit warnings by these big guys weighs heavy on investor sentiments. Sell goes strong. Sears down 14 percent in recent days - says consumers just bolted out of their place.
Strategists in investment say figures like earnings downgrades, poor
markets, unilateral or towy-cowy war with Iraq, and soft economic numbers are the process management of failure
Standard & Poors 500 [SPX] reamed out 2 percent in just one day to finish at 1997 levels. And the DJI matched it
.Stock Exchange(NY) carried an 8/3 ratio falls/rises - to tell you business has already voted on the President's 'confidence for our crisis' speech direct to the nation.
Surprise was when the Administration said it would step-in to the Ports Lockout - a really useful example to express - shares rallied a touch. Yet likely klingon for this event was Good Ole Al saying yet again how despite the failures and losses, the US financial system remains in good shape. With support like this business doesn't need enemies.
Sears least of all--it's share price slumped over $5 in this no-steam US economy.
Super power generator TXU sank over $4, too, slashed profit realities the likely result of low prices and fierce competition in the UK. The falls are in bucks, rises on cents.
Semiconductor securities got re-rated--recovery is 'muted'--which aint
exactly music to anyone's ears. What was tuned was the lame duck winner of $28B damages from Philip Morris. Gotta be a bargain for PM, wot!
Spending - finally - credit card and consumer finance companies faced the music
and danced on the scenario of no money to repay debts and boy did stocks whammo!

So, George, sweetie, here comes the descant---you better turn off the acid Monday on that TV talk to the good folks out there. Sure as hell they don't wanna be looking at the one who sat out all of the above. Plus - and yeah a sizeable lump of 'em by then will know about New Jersey - no way do you and the GOP want the viewers even thinking your party had the gall to deny folks a democratic choice in November
Bye!!! -Dickenz-

DASCHLE DOES BUSH and more..

DASCHLE DOES BUSH
Here's the Democratic Senate Majority Leader's indictment of President Bush on the mid-term trails
• • Record Job Losses
• • Weak Economic Growth
• • Declining Biz Investment
• • Falling Stock Market
• • Shrinking Retirement A/Cs
• • Eroding Consumer Confidence
• • Rising Health Care Costs
• • Escalating Foreclosures
• • Vanishing Surpluses and Higher Interest Costs
• • Raiding Social Security
• • Record Executive Pay
• • Stagnating Minimum Wage
-Dickenz (of a list, wot!)

THE GREAT HOUSE OF EASEMENT
At Hampton Court, Henry VIII's courtiers frequented the Great House of Easement. What was this place?
Ans. This was a large communal lavatory. There were two rows set back to back on each of two floors, with views over the east and west fronts of the palace. Each seat was a single plank of oak with holes at regular two-foot intervals; so at breaks in court proceedings the loos must have been quite cosy.
